Islam as a Doctrine
(Creed) and Deed (Action)
As for the first: (creed), it includes a group of beliefs that every person must adhere to. They are called Islamic creeds (doctrines).
As for the second part: (action), it includes a group of duties that we must do and apply and it is not allowed to give them up ( leave ) . There is no excuse ( pardon) for a human being to be remiss to do them .Then morals , dealings, house-keeping and education (instruction) will come after the first and the second aspects .We shall reveal (review) , after finishing the first part , all those above- mentioned parts (aspects) .
The First Part of Islamic Duties (Creeds)
They are called the principles of religion. Three of these principles keep (guard) Islam and if the person believes in them, he will become Moslem; They are : Unification (God is one), prophecy and the other world (the world to come in doom's day). Then There are two principles beside the first three ones. These two principles are concerning the doctrine of shiite sect (denomination) .They are justice and leadership (chiefdom) ("Imama"). If the Moslem believed (adhred to) in these two principles, then he is called Shiite. Now we have the to tal of four principles. Every Moslem must believe in them by obligation. Here we shall explain for you these principles.
1: Unification 2: Justice 3: Prophecy 4: Imamat 5: Day Of Judgement
The First Principle (Unification)
That means that we believe in the existence of God (presence) and He is the Creator of every thing and He is Eternal and Immortal. He is not non-existent at any time. He is not dead and stays for ever. He, The Most High God, is one (unique) and matchless. He is partnerless. No one participates with Him in creation, livelihood, living beings and honesty (integrity, fidelity). He is the Creator only. He makes creatures live and die. He is only deserving worshipping. It is not allowed to worship some one else. His qualities (characteristics) are two parts:-
First: The provable (evidential qualities)
These qualities are fit for Him only and for His position, The Most High God. It is not allowed to suppose that He is without one of these eight qualities. They refer to His Honour, perfection (integrity), praise be to Him.
Second: The Negative Qualities
They are the qualities that are unfit (unsuitable) for His standing (situation) and His position. The Most High God.
He is spotless (infallible). He is far above what is wrong and bad.
As for the provable and evidential qualities
they are (Eight)
1. He, praise be to Him, is knowing every thing. That means He is omniscient (all knowing ) (well - learned). No thing can be hidden (concealed) from Him in heavens and earth.
2. He, The Most High God, is able to do anything and choose all things, that means He does not feel unable to do anything. Every thing in the universe is under His control, power and authority. He does what He wants and leaves what He wants, but He does not do anything without wisdom. He does things according to His Wisdom. He does not do thing that are unfit for His standing (situation).
3. He, the praise for Him , is alive that means He is not nonexistent or dead at any time. He never dies. He created everything and He will stay for ever after the perishableness of universe (annihilation) and after mortality.
4. He, The Most High God, wants goodness from mankind and dislikes wickedness from human beings. He hates ugly things to be done. He also does goodness and wants goodness from us. He does not do wickedness and He hates us to do bad things that means that He dislikes doing bad end ugly things.
5. He, praise be to Him, realizes everything, that means that He Knows all tangible things and beings (all sensate) and perceptible as a person realizes things by senses, but God, praise be to Him, sees and hears voices without need to senses. Human beings realize voices by the sense of ears. God hears without the sense of ear. Human beings see things by eyes, but God sees them without eye. We realize touchable things by the sense of touching, while God realizes them without the sense of touching. We realize foods by the sense of taste, while God realizes them without mouit. Also the same thing with good and bad scents (smells) and so on.
6. He, The Most High God, is ancient and eternal that means He is not non-existent in a time or one day. He is lasting for ever. He will not die in the future.
7. He, praise be to Him, is a speaker. That means if He wants to speak to some-body of His creatures, He will create the voice in a body as He did with the prophet Moses Ibn Umran, peace upon our prophet and his household and on him too. He created the voice in a tree and by this way He spoke with his prophet, Moses, (peace upon him) and the conversation took place between Moses and The Most High God.
8. He, praise be to Him, is truthful that means He does not lie. Lying is bad and ugly. The person who practises lying is either weak or unable (deficient), while God, praise be to Him, is strong, dear and He can not feel unable to do something. He does not do the bad and the ugly thing. So, He never lies. These are the provable and evidential. Qualities in which every Moslem must believe.
2- The Negative Qualities
They are also eight :
1. He, praise be to Him, is not formed of parts, but He is simple. He is not composed of ingredients or organs.
2. He, praise bo to Him, is not a body. That means He has no length, width and depth. He does not resemble (look like) colours. He is not in a place. It is not allowed that He has pain or pleasure (enjoyment) He does not combine or react with others from existing things.
3. He, The Most High God, is not a place for happenings (events) Health is not exposed to Him and also colours. He is spotless, without movement and without stillness (quiescence).
4. He, praise be to Him, can not be seen by sight. He is spotless of that seeing in this world and the other world.
5. He, The Most High God, is partnerless, matchless. He is unique and He is one only. He does not produce (generate). He is not and was not born (produced) by another person. He has no equal to Him.
6. His provable and evidential qualities represent perfections (integrities), (ideals). They are not additional (in excess) for Him (in Himself). They are the essence of Himself, praise be to Him. His ideals are not acquired. He did not get those ideals (perfections) by hard work or fatigue (tiredness), but they are the essence of His character, praise be to Him.
7. He, The Most High God, is not in need of the others. He does not need any one, all need Him. There is nothing in the universe without His action (doing). What He wants to be found of His doings, He will find by His ability and things to go on by His ability too. There is nothing in the universe without His choice, will, and His finding (creation).
8. He, praise be to Him, is not changeable and alterable. He is as He was in the past and now and in the future. All ideals and prefections are gathered in Him.
These are the negative qualities. Every Moslem must believein these negative qualities and believe that God is far above what is mean to possess these qualities and He is infallible.
The Second Principle is Justice
Every Moslem must believe in the justice of God, praise be to Him, and He never wrongs to any one. Injustice is unfit for His standing (position), The Most High God. He never treats a person wrongfully (unjustly). The person usually needs injustice when he is unable to practise justice and he feels weak that he can not restore his right justly and carry out his aim in the same way, God, praise be to Him, is able to do anything. He is infallible of Bad and ugly things. He never needs injustice. He never feels unable to do anything.
The Third principle is prophecy
The prophet is a human being telling people about God's orders, praise be to Him without a means of mankind. He receives the orders from Him, praise be to Him, either directly or by a relative angel (approached angel). So the angel carries God's orders, The Most High God, to the prophet and the prophet, in his turn, informs them to the people. The messenger is the prophet who carries the system for people and that system must be acquainted with all aspects of life. As for the prophet who is non-messenger, he comes to emphasize the system which the messenger brought to people. He will be, then, as a helper or assistant for the messenger, either he is coexisting with the messenger or he comes after him according to god's wisdom. That means he is contemporary to the messenger. The Total number of prophets is 124 thousands prophets and the same number with the guardians (curators). The masters of prophets are five: Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus and Mohammed, the last prophet and messenger. He is our prophet (Mohammed Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abd AL-Mutalib) (peace upon him). His message is the last one and prophecy ended at him finally.
He was born according to the famous narratives in the "year of Elephant" in the 17th of the month of the first Rabie (Hijra). He was dead on the 28th of "Safer Month" (Hijra). in the year of 11th of Hijra. He was famous for his truth, fidelity, the appositeness of conduct. people used to call him " the honest truthful" since his child-hood until he attained 40 of age (honourable). He was from pure essence and noble family. God, praise be upon Him, kept him from error and deviation. His birth is from good and pure fathers and mothers. No one of his fathers and mothers made a thing that is unfit for Moslem. His offspring (progeny) ends at prophet "Ishmael" (peace upon them all).
The Mission of Our Prophet Mohmmed
When he (God prays upon him and his household) attained 40 years of age (honourable), God, praise be to Him, ordered him to tell people that he is a prohet and to call them to give up polytheism and atheism (denial of God) and to follow him and believe in his sayings. That was on the 27th of Rajeb Month (Hijra) according to the famous narratives among Moslems.
Our Belief in Prophecy
1. The prophet must be infallible without mistakes and disobediences, the small and the big ones, before the declaration of prophecy and after it. Infallibility (spotlessness) is from the kindness of God (grace), praise be to Him. The prophet seeks assistance with It to avoid disobediences.
2. The prophet is spotless and far above the immorality of fathers (depravity) and the adultery (debauchery) of mothers.
3. The prophet must be the best of his time (age) in morals (manners), and no one is better than him in the creation among those to whom he came to tell his mission (message).
4. He should be far above (spotless) the physical and psychological defects (foible). For example, he should not be lame, one-eyed and without ugly appearance (looking) or stupid (foolish), etc.... . He also should not be miser (not generous), vile (scoundrel), mad, foolish, stupid, inclined to lusts and pleasures and avaricious (loving this world too much not the other world) {not mundane}.
5. He must show people miracles (verses) to prove to them that he is a prophet sent by God, praise be to Him, where our prophet, Mohammed showed and (proved) many miracles. A miracle means the supernatural action and the ordinary person can not do the miracles and those whom God grants the ability to do that.
The most distinguished miracles of the prophet
(peace upon him) are
The Holy Koran: It is the speech that came down from God, praise be to Him, which is available among the people, beginning from the chapter of "AL-Hamd" (the praise), and ending at the chapter of "AL-Nas" (the people). This Koran in itself is an eternal miracle which the messenger (peace upon him), challenged the people and is still challenging them. Mankind can not bring like Koran at all.
God, praise be to Him, said, "Kul lain i jtamaat al-unis we jinu ala an yatoo bimithli hatha Al-Koran la yaatoone bimith lihee we law kana baadhuhum Li baadhin dhaheera", and He, praise be to Him, said "In kuntum fee raybin mima anzalna ala abdina fe aatoo bisooretin min mithlihi wa ad au shuha dadum min doon Illahi in kuntum sadikeen fe in lem tofaloo, fe takoo elnar alaty wookooduha al nas wel hi jara."
God said, praise be to Him: "say, if mankind and jinn (Demons) met together to bring like this Koran, they will not be able to bring like it even they were supporters (backers) to each other",He said also, "If you were in suspicion about what we inspired and (revealed) (sent down) (brought down) to our man (our prophet) you can bring one chapter like it to prove, but you can not, and call your witnesses (evidences) in whom you believe and worship....If you are truthful. If you can not do that, and you will never do that surely, then keep (protect) yourselves from fire (hell) whose wood, (fuel), (burning ) is people and stone.
The Fourth principle "Imama" (leadership), (guardianship) (Tutelage)
The meaning of "Imama" is a leadership generally in religious matters and worldly affaires for a certain person to be appointed and entrusted with Moslems affairs instead of (on behalf of) the prophet. The "Imam" (guardian) receives orders from God, The Most High God, by means of the prophet. In fact he is a (successor) of the prophet and the keeper (protector) of his jurisprudence.
Our Belief in "Imamat AL-Imam"
(The Guardianship of Imam)
1. "Imama" is defined (determined) by God, praise be to Him, and it is not allowed for people to appoint (nominate) an "Imam" by themselves, but by God, praise be to Him, by His prophet to tell people about "The Imam after him (the prophet).
2. The "Imam" must be infallible (unerring). Infallibility is kindness and grace from God, praise be to Him. It will help and assist the "Imam" to avoid sins and disobediences all of them; the big and the little ones since his birth until the end of his honorable life (age).
3. The Imam must be the best of the people in his time in physical perfections and ideals and also psychologically. He must be the most learned, acquainted with religion and worldly affairs, courageous, generous and honest than the others. All the people are in need of him, and he is not in need of others except the prophet, peace upon him, to learn from him the rules and knowledge.
4. The "Imam" must be pure from the aspect of fathers and mothers with clean lineage (genealogy).
5. He must show miracles and prestiges (dignities) by his honourable hand to be as a guide for his guardianship "Imamat", and to show that he was chosen by The Most High God, after the prophet(peace upon him).
The Imams after the Prophet
The "Imams" after the prophet are twelve "Imams" (leaders) (peace upon them all) as it was defined and determined in all the correct narratives (Hadeeths). They are, peace upon them, as follows:
The first Imam
He is Amir AL-Mu'mineen (The Commander of the faithful) or the prince of believers, Ali Ibn Ibi Talib (peace upon him), He was born in 13 before Hijra and died in 40 'after' Hijra year.
His father: He was the believer of "Quraish" tribe and its master, Abu Talib Ibn Abdul Mutalib Ibn Hashem.
His mother: She is the purest woman after the prophet's mother (peace upon her), Fatima bint Asad Ibn Hashem.
(Imam Ali)
'Imam' Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace upon him) was born in 13th of Rajab month from the tenth year before the honorable prophet's mission inside the dignified Mecca (AL-Ca'aba) in the heart of "the Holy House". This honor can not be obtained by any one even the prophets before or after him. He is the first Hashemite (a member or a person of Bani Hashem tribe) who believed in the great messenger (peace upon him), and considered his message truthful. He was the first who cohered with the prophet and stuck to him closely for (34) years. The great prophet defined and determined his "Imama" (guardianship) on many occasions and situations such as briefly:
The first situation
When He said and sent down his speech, whose name is High, "Notify (inform and warn) your tribe that is the nearest to you by relation". The noble and highborn prophet gathered the members of his tribe from Beni (sons) Hashem and called them to believe in his prophecy and in the "Imamat" of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, according to the text of the honourable verse which says "we anthur asheereteka alak rabeena".
The second situation
When God, The Most High, sent down (brought down ) his speech saying, "That, surely, is your God and His messenger and those who believed in his message as in the text of the honourable verse which says, "Inna ma walyokum Allah we rasooluhoo wel atheena amenoo ala theena youkeem alsalawata we youtoona al zakate wehum rakioon". The meaning of the verse is that they are your guardians all, and those who perform (do) prayers and grant (offer), (give) alms (Zakat) when they are kneeling down in prayers. In this situation, the guardianship "wilaya" was appointed (assigned) to "Imam" Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may the blessing of God be upon him, after the guardianship of God, praise be to Him and His noble prophet (peace upon him).
The third situation
When He sent down His speech, The Most High God, saying "Those who argue (discuss) you about what we sent down to you of knowledge (science), say to them, come and we will call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and we shall beg (entreat) and make God's curse on the liars". All people agreed that the prophet, peace upon him, went out taking the hand of AL-Hassan, AL-Hussein, Fatima and Ali (peace upon them). The text of the honourable verse says, "Femenhajjaka feehi min ba'adi maja'aka min elmi fekul ta'alu nad'uo abna'ana we abnaukum we nisana we nisa'ukum we anfusana we anfusakum thumma nabtahilfanj'al lanat Ullah alal kathibeen". 'Imam' Ali, peace upon him, is sufficient and deserved for the position of "Imama" after the great AL-Rasool and he is like him.
The fourth situation
When His speech came down, praise be to Him, saying, "o messenger, inform (tell) what was sent down to you from your Lord and unless you informed, then you did not inform all His message. The text of the honourable verse says, "ja ayuha AL-Rasoole,balligh ma unzila ilayka min Rabika we in lam tafal fema ballaghte risalatahu we Allahu yaa'simuka minal nasi, inna Allaha layouhdi al-kawma al-kafireen."
The noble messenger gathered his companions (followes), (may the blessing of God be upon him) in the "Region of AL-Ghadeer Khum" where he declared his "Imama" (guardianship) (tutelage) and took "The cknowledgement of loyalty to his sovereignty (Bayaa) from the common people for "Imam" Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace upon him). The followers (companions) swore fealty (loyalty) to 'Imam' Ali who was with the followers in his only and unique pilgrimage which is called "Farewell pilgrimag "(Hidjat-AL-wada'). The great messenger was addressing them saying, "If I am your master (lord), then this is "Imam" Ali, your master, O God, be loyal to those who are loyal to "Imam" Ali and (pro-Ali) and be enemy and hostile (adversary) to his enemies, give and grant victory to those who are supporters (helpers) to Ali's followers. Abandon (forsake) Those who abandoned him". The great messenger did not put 'Imam' Ali under the control or order of another person at all. He was accompanying the prophet in most of his invasions and wars in his brigade. He took part in all the chief invasions except the invasion of....."Tabook" where the noble messenger, peace upon him, appointed (made a ruler) him for "AL-Medeen AL-Munawara" in the case of the prophet's absence, (may the blessing of God be upon him). He said to 'Imam' Ali, "you are to me like the rank (position) of Aaron to Mosed, but there is no prophet after me ". He is the right "Imam" after the messenger, peace upon him, indisputably and without doubt. The "Imam" was obliged to give up authority (the post) for (25) years. In the year of (36) (Hijra), he received the authority (power), but before his receiving the authority, some other people transmigrated the authority from him (they were dressed the robe of authority only).
The "Imam", peace upon him spent the period of his rule which was just in fighting those who broke (violated) the promises, and the renegades (turn coats) (devious men) and those who deviated of right. These include and mean the wars of "AL-Jamal" (Camel), "Siffeen", and "Nahrawn".
The Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib, peace upon him, martyrized (died as a martyr) when a man called Abdul Rahman Ibn Muljim AL-Muradi AL-Kharji (he was a schismatic, dissenter, heretic) God's curse be upon to him doom's day) and struck the 'Imam' on his honourable head while he was praying for "His Lord" That was on the nigh 19th of Ramadhan month in the year (40) Hijra where his pure soul was carried into the sky on the 21th of the same month with the wreath (of flowers) of his comrades and companions of Islam. He, peace upon him, was buried in honourable Najaf where his pure shrine is still standing Salam Ullah be on him (peace upon him). when he was born inside "The Holy Ca'aba and when he martyrized in his prayer niche in AL-Kufa Mosque and when he was resurged (resurrected) carrying in his hand the baner of Al-Hemd (praise) leading the righteous and good people to paradise.

disappearance (absence)".
The fifth principle the next world
We must believe that God, praise be to Him, annihilates (puts an end) this world in a certain time, known by God only, then He (God) will repeat people to life again (resurge)
(resurrect) (animate). He will prosecute (examine) their deeds.
He will reward every one according to his action bad or good. If the deed is good, He will compensate to for the doer by making him live in paradise. If the deed is bad, He will punish, torture him in hell which was prepared for the unbelievers, hypocrites dissenters and disobedients. Also we must believe in the following matters that the truthful, honest, great AL-Rasool told us, peace upon him, they are:
1. The Torture of the grave: God, The Most High, will prosecute (examine) and try the human being after his death in the next world-it is called the world of "Isth- mus" (Barzakh). They said it is a land between two seas, but the real meaning in "Koran" is what is between death and resurrection.
(Coming to life again). This expression also came in the grave. Man's fate (destination) will be decided according to his deeds. He will be tortured in the grave, if he is deserving. He will live in comfort and be surrounded with blessings and graces, if he is obedient to God.
2. The Path (way) (AL-"Sirat"): Is a bridge which is extending from doom's day place to paradise. Nobody can pass through that narraw road except those who have good deeds and were included by the "Divine care" and they must not deserve the torture in hell-fire.
Religion (Branches)
3. Scales and account: This means that God, the Most High, examnes and prosecutes by Weighing the good and bad deeds for a preson by making a balance between them.
4. Intercession (Mediation) (Shafa'a): It is proved that God, The Most High, grants the efficiency (qualifications) of intercession for the loyal people of His mankind of prophets, messengers, "Imams" and AL-Zahra (peace be with them) and other good righteous people. The intercession includes the great and grandees of believers (pious people). We hope that God, praise be to Him, will grant us AL-Rasool AL-A'dhem's intercession (mediation) Mohammed and his family (may the blessing of God be upon them all).
