The Dead Rules

The Rules of Dying (Expiring) person:

The dying person is the person who is about to (on the point of) die (expire) when his hour came and the end of his life and days came too. The expiring of his soul approached. He will leave this world to the next world. In the case of the dying person, we must follow:

1. We must turn (direct) the person towards the niche ("AL-Kibla" by making him lie on his back and make the soles of the two feet towards the niche, This is the duty (function) of the guardian of the dying person, if the dying person was unable to do these directions by himself.

2. We must dictate (say to) the expiring person the two testimonies (witnesses) and acknowledging the prophet, peace upon him, and the "Imams" peace upon them, and all the beliefs (doctrines) in Islam basically.

How to wash the dying person and the Rules:

a. The dead man is washed three times:

1. Water mixed with little of Christ's thorn (Nabk Tree) (lote).

2. Water mixed with camphor.

3. Water without any mixture (absolute water).

b. If the person died and was in "Ihram" (Muhrim), (AL-Hadj garments) and we know that the person who is in Ihram is not allowed to use perfumes (scents), consequently the dead person (in Ihram) is not washed with camphor, but water with Nabk and absolute water without mixture.

c. We must wash the dead body three times according to this arrangement one by one: first water with, second water with camphor and third with absolute water.

d. We must follow the arrangement in washing the members of the body too: We wash the head and the neck, then the right part (side) and the left part.

obstacles that prevent the water from going (running) to the body, clothes, bandages....etc.

f.  We must make sure that the water will reach the body (all the parts of the body) even by massage.

g. We can wash the dead man by rinsing into water (dipping) all at once like (as) we mentioned in the washing of self-pollution.

The conditions of what we wash with and on:

The duties of shrouding for the Grave: The dead man should be shrouded (dressed for the grave) after washing and embalming (mummification) with three robes (garments):
