DIRECTOR OF HIS EMINENCE OFFICE TO BBC: RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY NEVER STOPPED HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF IRAQ

In an interview by the BBC channel, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, director of His Eminence’s office, stated that the relationship of the religious authorities in AL-Najaf Al-Ashraf with all the Shia worldwide is based on the doctrine which is too far away from politics, adding that the Maraji are working to keep in contact with all believers to keep their own intellectual, cultural and religious identity, not to mention the relations with so many international organizations through which believers’ rights and affairs are treated.

On humanitarianism, Al-Najafy stated key role of the religious authorities which has never stopped supporting believers inside and outside of Iraq such as Yemen and Syria.

Regarding the role of the religious authorities in Iraq, Al-Najafy stated that these religious authorities are the one who originated a system which is not similar to any regional or international system.
