Question:Is it obligatory to separate between children when sleeping, and from what age should this be initiated?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if the children's behavior shows distinguishing in such matters and an inclination towards distinguishing between the reprehensible and evil on one hand, and the good and bad on the other hand, then separation is required. It's not sufficient to just separate them physically; rather, those in charge should closely monitor what the children do while sleeping and awake. Allah is the Guide, and He is the All-Knowing.
Question:Is naming children a right of the father or the mother. If they disagree, who has the right to name the children according to Islamic law?
Answer:In the name of Allah, this is the duty of the father. Allah knows best.
Question:If a widow wants to remarry and she has children from her deceased husband, do the relatives of her deceased husband, such as the paternal grandfather or uncles, have the right according to Islamic law to take the children away from her? It is known that the second husband undertakes to take care of the children and not neglect their affairs?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is obligatory to keep the children with the woman during her custody period, which is seven years from the time of their birth. Then, the paternal grandfather has more right to them than her. He is responsible for their care during the custody period and thereafter. Allah knows best.
Question:If the husband has been proven to be sterile, and his wife becomes pregnant, does the rule the following apply "the child belongs to the bed" [the person who sleeps with the wife legally and legitimately; the husband], or is it judged to be a child of adultery?
Answer:In the name of Allah, be informed, my son, it often happened that the sterile may fertilize, so the pregnancy here is "the result of the bed" [the person who sleeps with the wife legally and legitimately; the husband]. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible to give a name as "Al-Rahman"? If not, is it specific to the definite or does it cover the indefinite and the added name?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible to give the name of Al-Rahman to other than Allah Almighty whether definite or indefinite. Allah knows best.
