His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) confirmed during the meeting that Islam was named as such because it aims for peace and tolerance, and moving forward towards knowledge and aspiration towards progress, stressing the importance of raising the level of relations between the two countries on more than one level, in a way that serves the two friendly countries.

  His Excellency Ramiz, for his part, thanked His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) for the good reception, and the insights he provided, stressing the importance of great Islamic concepts and meanings, referring to the depth of Islamic, Arab and Iraqi relations with Venezuela, providing in this regard an explanation of the political history of his country and its commonalities with Iraq.
