His Eminence Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) welcomed a delegation from the Imam Khomei Society in Baghdad to listen to his Eminence's admonitions and fatherly guidance.
His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) stressed the importance of adhering to the Islamic guidelines and staying away from sins to avoid falling into the forbidden.
He (may Allah prolong his life) also emphasized that every action must be accompanied by nearness to Allah (glorified and exalted be He), and its foundation is piety because it is the standard of the acceptance or rejection of actions by Allah (glorified and exalted be He). The first step in ascending the ranks of piety is to hold oneself accountable for every small or large action or word, and to work to correct every mistake or forbidden act by apologizing to the person who has been wronged or by true repentance to Allah (glorified and exalted be He).
His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) added that holding oneself accountable is an action that the Imams of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) emphasized in their conversations with the believers, and every Shia believer should prioritize his/her identity as a follower of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and his loyalty to him, to become one of the pious, for Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is known as the Prince of the Pious.
His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) also stressed that reviving the Husseini rituals, renewing his tragedy, and mourning him are all acts that achieve Allah's (glorified and exalted be He) satisfaction, and on the Day of Resurrection, the servants and mourners will have a special place when meeting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and looking at his face and entering Paradise with him.
