His Eminence: We must unite people to confront intellectual and ethical challenges

His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi, the representative of His Eminence Grand Religious Authority  Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) and the director of his central office in Najaf Al-Ashraf, received a delegation comprising a number of scholars from the city of Basra, professors from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and Christian religious personalities.

During the meeting, the most prominent challenges facing the nation in the current stage were discussed, as well as the conspiracies plotted against it that target religion and its values. These conspiracies aim to create intellectual chaos that threatens religious societies and weakens the unity of ranks by raising doubts and distorting the image [of religion] for new generations.

His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi emphasized that these movements are not spontaneous but are part of plans targeting the ethical framework of societies. This is achieved by building environments based on specific methodologies and systems that achieve political and economic interests for the benefit of external parties.

His Eminence clarified that the forces behind these projects have realized that religion and religious identity were the impenetrable barrier that thwarted their attempts over past decades. Therefore, they are now working to target it directly. He called for enhancing awareness, adhering to constants, and unifying speech and ranks to protect generations and society from these dangers.
