26/5/2026
His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) received, in his central office, a delegation of faithful visiting pilgrims from the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was part of the religious and paternal meetings that His Eminence is keen to hold with pilgrims arriving in Iraq to visit the holy shrines.
His Eminence offered advice, directives, and recommendations concerning the visiting pilgrims, emphasizing the importance of investing in the blessed visitation to strengthen the connection to Allah Almighty and adhere to the religious and moral values advocated by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
His Eminence explained the great status that Iraq, and especially Najaf Al-Ashraf, holds in the hearts of the faithful, due to hosting the holy shrines of six of the pure Imams (peace be upon them), as well as the shrines of prophets, saints, and righteous people, and the spiritual and civilizational depth that these blessed sites represent in the conscience of the Islamic nation.
His Eminence also pointed out the high scholarly status of the Hawza (seminary) in Najaf Al-Ashraf, reviewing the biographies of prominent Islamic scholars and great clerics who drew from the blessings of the pure Imams (peace be upon them), especially the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), and contributed with their scholarly and intellectual output to serving the Islamic nation and spreading the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Eminence prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the faithful and the dear pilgrims from all harm, to accept their visitation and acts of worship, and to bestow upon them security, safety, and success.
