*  Religious Authorities in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf have long called for the building of a constitutional country ruled by law.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) received the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Iraq, Michel Rintinar, and his accompanying delegation. His Eminence expressed his welcome to every effort that strengthens diplomatic and economic relations among European countries, especially the Netherlands and the State of Iraq, provided that this cooperation is in the interest of the peoples.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) expressed the importance of strengthening Iraqi-Dutch relations to help the two countries prosper economically, calling for projects coming to Iraq to be a fundamental factor in building the Iraqi infrastructure, especially in the field of energy and electricity, as well as operating Iraqi manpower.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) affirmed that the next battle is a battle for the economy, and that the religious authority rejects any interference in the internal affairs of Iraq from any party, and that it calls for the respect of Iraqi sovereignty and the participation with the official side to support stability, reconstruction and the economy.

For his part, Ambassador Rintinar expressed his happiness and welcome for the good reception and directives provided by His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life), stressing that Netherlands will remain a supportive partner for Iraq and its country, and indicating how happy he is as he conveyed the message of the greatest religious authorities in the world to his country.
