Question:Is it permissible to sacrifice an animal that we ourselves have raised?
Answer:In the name of Allah, yes, it is permissible. However, it is better that you do not slaughter it with your own hands. Allah knows best.
Question:May a father offer one sacrifice on behalf of his entire family?
Answer:In the name of Allah, offering the sacrifice is a strongly recommended act for whoever is able to do so, and one sacrifice is sufficient for more than one person. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it sufficient to pay the value of the sacrifice (udhiyah) to those in need instead of actually offering the sacrifice?
Answer:In the name of Allah, that is not sufficient. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible to purchase the sacrifice before the month of Dhu al-Hijjah and slaughter it on Eid?
Answer:In the name of Allah, there is no objection to that. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the ruling on offering a sacrifice (Udhiya) on behalf of the deceased? Is it recommended?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the sacrifice is recommended for both the living and the deceased. Allah knows best.
Question:Does the Udhiyah suffice in place of the Aqeeqah?
Answer:In the name of Allah, no, it does not suffice. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it a condition for the recommended sacrificial animal (Udhiyah) that it should not be lame, one-eyed, or have other defects that are disqualifying for the Hadi (sacrificial animal for Hajj)?
Answer:In the name of Allah, yes, this is a requirement. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible that the price of the recommended sacrifice (Qurban) to be sufficient in such a way that there is a price for meat, neck and liver, where the total cost of these parts is collected and paid to the butcher? Or, should we buy an entire animal with a lump sum price which the two parties agree upon?
Answer:In the name of Allah, buying an entire animal is a must. Allah knows best.
Question:Some associations collect sums of money to slaughter sacrifices (Qurnban) for them after taking the permission from them to dispose of these sacrifices. Is it permissible for the association to sell these sacrifices and distribute the money to the poor, or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it required for the sacrifice of the deceased to be seven sacrifices and be sacrificed every sacrifice in a different year?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the sacrifice is desirable for the living and the dead and does not adhere to what you mentioned. Allah knows best.
