Question:I have asthma. Can I use the asthma inhaler during my fasting?
Answer:In the name of Allah, after consulting the expert, we came to know that the inhaler is of two types: The first contains medical powder which is changed into gas after being exposed to air pressure. It seems that this does not invalidate fasting if the fasting person does not feel the taste of the powder in his mouth; otherwise, it invalidates fasting. The second contains a medical liquid, which is changed into spray after being exposed to air pressure and this definitely invalidates fasting. Allah knows best.
Question:Does the eye drop affect fasting, provided that the taste comes in the back of the mouth when using the drop.
Answer:In the name of Allah, it does affect if you know that it will reach the larynx. Feeling the taste is sufficient to invalidate fasting. So, it is best recommended to use such medicines at night and before dawn. Allah knows best.
Question:1.In doing obligatory fasting, but not in its due time, like qadhaa fasting of Ramadhan, is fasting considered void to deliberately stay in Janabat state up to the rise of dawn? 2.A person was doubtful whether he has overdue fasting to be offered as he wanted to fast. Therefore, he intended to offer fasting seeking closeness to Allah (not intending for qadhaa fasting specifically). Can it avail for mandatory fasting if he was in the state of Janabat or he deliberately stays on Janabat?
Answer:1.In the name of Allah, yes it invalidates fasting. Allah knows best. 2.In the name of Allah, it does not avail for obligatory mandatory fasting (qadhaa fasting) in either case.
