His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafy (May Allah prolong his life) received in his office in the holy city of Najaf, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Afzal al-Haidari, the Secretary-General of the Central Council of Shia Schools in Pakistan and the General Supervisor of Hawza Jamiat al-Muntazir in the city of Lahore.

His Eminence emphasized the greatness and significance of the religious seminary in Najaf, highlighting its historic role in graduating leading jurists and scholars, and noting that its scholarly light continues to illuminate the Islamic world and enrich seminaries across the globe with knowledge and intellectual heritage.

He also praised the scholarly, religious, and educational efforts exerted by Maulana al-Haidari in Pakistan, commending his continuous service to Islam and the school of Ahlulbayt, and prayed for his further success and guidance in his blessed endeavors.

For his part, al-Haidari expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Eminence, considering his blessed presence a great blessing for the Islamic nation in general and for the Shia community and the seminary in Najaf in particular. He wished His Eminence continued health, well-being, and long life in the service of the noble religion.
