Today, the city of Najaf Al-Ashraf witnessed the launch of the annual Fatimid procession marking its tenth anniversary, with wide participation from His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussein Al-Najaf (may Allah prolong his life), delegations from the Islamic Seminary (Hawza), large crowds of believers, tribal representatives, servants of Hussaini camps, and participants from several countries.

The procession set off from the central office of His Eminence the Najafi religious authority toward the sacred Courtyard of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), where His Eminence led the participants, in a significant religious presence that reflects the devotion to commemorating this occasion and strengthening loyalty to Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The event included Quranic recitations and poetic verses highlighting the esteemed status of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the historical tragedies she endured, in a spiritual atmosphere marked by reverence and humility.

At the conclusion of the procession, a mourning assembly was held in the noble Alawite courtyard with the presence of religious and public delegations, addressing the events that befell Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The ceremonies concluded with a visitation to the sacred Alawite Shrine and the offering of condolences to the Awaiting Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance).
