In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful 4/6/2026 ![]() |
On one of the
greatest days of Allah, the Exalted, we mourn, with hearts that are patient and
faithful in Allah’s promise, the passing of one of the foremost figures of the
Shi'a community and one of the distinguished scholars of Islam: His Eminence
Grand Ayatollah, the eminent religious authority, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq
al-Fayyad, may his noble soul be sanctified. In this momentous
tragedy, by which Islam has suffered a grievous loss, we extend our condolences
to the Master of the Age, Allah’s Supreme Representative, Imam al-Hujjah ibn
al-Hasan (may our souls be sacrificed for his advent), to the scholars of
Islam, the religious seminaries, the noble family of the deceased, and all
believers. May Allah’s
pleasure be upon him; he was a compassionate elder brother, a devoted guardian
of the blessed Hawza, tirelessly dedicated to its preservation and protection.
He acquired knowledge from its purest sources and delved deeply into its
profound realities until he himself became a fountain of learning. He remained
closely attached to our great scholars, may Allah be pleased with them, until
he became our source of solace upon their passing. Today, the Sheikh
of Najaf al-Ashraf has departed from us to renew his allegiance to the
Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, at the Pool of al-Kawthar.
Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. There is no power and no
strength except through Allah, the Highest,
the Greatest. Bashir Husain
al-Najafi
