His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi, Director of the Central Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafi (may Allah prong his life), received a delegation of notables and tribal sheikhs from Salah al-Din Governorate, representing the people of the city of Samarra, at his office in Holy Najaf.

Sheikh Al-Najafi welcomed the visiting delegation and conveyed to them the greetings and best wishes of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah (may Allah prolong his life). He also praised the visit as a manifestation of the bonds of affection and communication among the Iraqi people in all their diverse components.

During the meeting, His Eminence emphasized the importance of preserving national cohesion and strengthening the values of peaceful coexistence among all citizens. He called for the rejection of all forms of division and sectarianism and urged the promotion of the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation in a manner that serves Iraq and reinforces its security and stability.

He also reviewed the significant role played by the religious authority in consolidating the principles of national unity and its continuous efforts to bring people together, unify ranks, and confront rhetoric that could incite discord and division among members of society.

For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception. They commended the wise positions of the religious authority and its ongoing efforts to promote social peace and strengthen the values of fraternity and coexistence among Iraqis.
