Najaf al-Ashraf – His Eminence the Grand Religious
Authority, Sheikh Al-Najafi (May Allah prolong his life), visited the office of
the late Grand Religious Authority, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayyadh (May Allah
Be Pleased with Him), to extend his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the
sons of the deceased Marjaʿ, his students, and the members of the Hawza
ʿIlmiyyah, following his passing, which has constituted a great loss to
scholarly and religious circles. During the visit, His Eminence expressed his profound
sorrow and grief over this tragic loss, emphasizing that the Hawza ʿIlmiyyah
throughout the Islamic world, and particularly in Najaf al-Ashraf, has lost in
the passing of Grand Ayatollah Al-Fayyadh (May Allah Be Pleased with Him) one
of its most eminent scholars and jurists. He noted that the late Marjaʿ devoted
his blessed lifetime to serving the Islamic Sharia, engaging in research and
teaching, nurturing generations of scholars, and disseminating the thought,
methodology, and noble ethics of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them). His Eminence Sheikh Al-Najafi (May His Shadow Endure)
further stated that the late Marjaʿ leaves behind a rich scholarly and Hawza
legacy. Over many decades, he made significant contributions to strengthening
the values of knowledge and virtue and serving society, earning him a
distinguished standing among scholarly and religious communities both within
Iraq and abroad.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Eminence supplicated to Almighty Allah to encompass the blessed departed with His vast mercy and pleasure, to resurrect him alongside his noble masters and leaders from the Household of Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him and His Family), and to grant patience and solace to his family, loved ones, students, and the members of the Hawza ʿIlmiyyah. He also prayed that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, may continue to bless the Islamic Ummah with devoted scholars who faithfully serve the true religion. |
