The representative of the office of His Eminence Ayatollah al-Najafi (may Allah prolonged his life) in Nineveh Governorate participated in the ceremonies commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him), held by the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbasid Shrine / Department of Religious Affairs, in the presence of a gathering of believers and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in the Sinjar district.

Sayyid Mahmoud al-A'raji stated during the religious lecture he delivered on this occasion: "Commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him) represents a revival of the authentic Muhammadan values of the message that the Imam carried after the event of Karbala, as he faced challenges with patience and wisdom and preserved the principles of pure Islam despite the harshness of circumstances." He emphasized the importance of utilizing these occasions to instill ethics and awareness and to strengthen the connection to the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

He explained that these gatherings are not merely mourning occasions but are schools for building the conscious, faithful human being, and an opportunity to renew the covenant with the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to follow their blessed example. He pointed out that continuing to observe the Husayni rituals enhances unity and religious identity and preserves the message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his pure family.

He added that the gathering included a religious lecture covering the life of Imam al-Sajjad (peace be upon him), his great role in preserving the message of Karbala, and the values of patience, steadfastness, worship, and struggle through word and stance that he embodied after the tragedy of al-Taff.
