The representative of the office of His Eminence Ayatollah al-Najafi (may Allah prolonged his life) in Holy Karbala Governorate held a Husayni gathering to commemorate the eternal epic of al-Taff and to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

Sheikh Muhammad al-Zarijawi stated during the gathering: "This painful occasion represents an opportunity to offer condolences to the Islamic nation, the grand religious authorities, and all believers on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), his family, and his companions." He affirmed that the Husayni gatherings represent a continuously renewing school for consolidating faith, awareness, and ethics, and a message of loyalty to the uprising of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), which preserved the religion of God and presented the greatest examples of sacrifice and redemption. He called for drawing lessons of patience, steadfastness, unity, and community service from the school of Ashura.

He explained that reviving the Husayni gatherings is not merely a remembrance of a historical event, but a renewal of the covenant with the principles for which Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) rose, foremost among them supporting truth and confronting injustice and corruption. He called for continuing to revive the Husayni rituals with a spirit of responsibility, cooperation, and solidarity, and making them a starting point for strengthening the Islamic and human values established by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

Sheikh al-Zarijawi also offered condolences to the Imam of the Age and Time, Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah Almighty hasten his noble reappearance), to the grand religious authorities, and to the Islamic nation, on the occasion of the arrival of the days of the holy month of Muharram, affirming that they represent a station for arousing the spirit of faith and adhering to the banner of pure Muhammadan Islam.
