* There is a need for joint work to establish and consolidate Iraqi-Pakistani relations in the interest of the two Muslim countries and peoples.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi and his accompanying delegation.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) stressed, during the meeting, the importance of the Muslim peoples working hard to unite their ranks, saying: "We urge the Islamic countries to work hard to strengthen and deepen their relations, and to have unified stances towards the issues of the Islamic nation."

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) called for the necessity of strengthening the Iraqi-Pakistani relations, and the consolidation of relations, saying: “It is imperative to work jointly to establish and consolidate the Iraqi-Pakistani relations for what matters to the interests of the two countries and two peoples, and to move forward towards serving the peoples, calling in this regard to expand the levels of economic and commercial dealings in order to develop the stability of mutual economic and commercial security.

His Eminence  (may Allah prolong his life) urged the Pakistani state and all officials to pay attention to the issues and demands of the Pakistani people, and to think seriously to consider their concerns and future aspirations, and the importance of officials being aware that they are in a position of service to their people, calling for the need to stand in the face of any act or move that would create or destabilize the unity of this honorable people or that It promotes the phenomenon of discrimination and extremism.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) stressed the importance of considering the conditions of the Pakistani community in the Republic of Iraq and striving to solve its problems.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) stressed the necessity of sorting out all outstanding problems and upgrading Pakistani foreign relations and all countries of the Islamic world in accordance with effective diplomatic frameworks.

For his part, the Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed his thanks for these fatherly directives and good welcoming, explaining the most important points of his visit to Iraq.

On the same level, the representative of His Eminence and the director of his office, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, welcomed the minister and discussed the challenges of the Muslim peoples and the region, reviewing the Pakistani and Afghan reality, and aspirations to advance the policies of countries that benefit the peoples and the necessities of opening up to the Iraq and expanding its relations.

It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and his counterpart the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to Iraq.
