His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussain al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) visited the office of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah, the great religious authority, Sayed Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim (may his soul rest in peace) to offer his sincere condolences immediately after hearing the news of the latter’s death, and to recite Surat Al-Fatihah for his pure soul.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) also issued a statement in which he offered his condolences, expressing the news of the tragic death of the late Sayed, and beseeching the Almighty (may his name be glorified) to resurrect the deceased with his pure ancestors, Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (may Allah’s prayers be upon them all).

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) confirmed that the late Sayed had been successful in serving Islam and raising distinguished scholars for more than half a century.
