The Office of His Eminence Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) in Basra, Al-Deir District, held a lecture on the Blessed Day of Ghadir, commemorating the greatest Eid of Allah, the Eid of Wilayah (Guardianship).

"The Day of Ghadir carried the reason for the survival, dignity, and expansion of the nation and the spread of its highest example to reach the entire world, to fill it with justice and fairness, and to continue the march of light and guidance initiated by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), a march paved by all the prophets and messengers." Sheikh Muthana Al-Rubaie, during the religious lecture delivered at Al-Sibt Al-Mujtaba Foundation, said.

He continued, saying: "The day of Eid al-Ghadir is the greatest Eid of Allah and the Eid of the Family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), and it is the greatest of all Eids when Allah, the Highest, sent a Prophet and ordered him to commemorate this day and preserve its sanctity. Eid al-Ghadir al-Aghar represents the greatest celebrations in Islam, as it marked the appointment of the Prince of Human Justice, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), as the leader of the Muslims after the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), during the return of the Muslims from the Farewell Pilgrimage to Medina in a place called Ghadir Khumm in the year 10 AH."

Al-Rubaie conveyed congratulations and felicitations on this great occasion to the position of the absent Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance), the religious authorities, and the entire Islamic nation.
