His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafy (May Allah prolong his life) welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from the School of Islamic Sciences / Quran Center in Najaf al-Ashraf, which provides educational and moral services to children from the Indian Subcontinent region.

During the meeting, His Eminence stressed the necessity of “friendship with the Holy Quran,” saying: “Make the Quran part of your life and live within its atmosphere.” He emphasized the importance of mastering the pronunciation of letters during recitation, warning that “incorrect recitation may bring punishment rather than reward.”

He also addressed the importance of honoring parents, advising the students: “Be keen to win your mother's love, for a mother’s prayer is answered for her children.” He affirmed that “strengthening respect for one’s parents increases one’s dignity.”
