During the meeting, discussions centered on the status
of the Hawza Ilmiyya (religious seminary) in Najaf al-Ashraf, its scientific
and historical role, and the great scholars it has produced in the fields of
knowledge and learning, in addition to emphasizing the responsibilities placed
upon the scholars in this era.
For his part, Allama Jafri described His Eminence
Authority Al-Najafy (May Allah prolong his life) as a great blessing for the
Islamic Ummah in general, and for the people of the Indian subcontinent in
particular, affirming that his presence represents hope and that his office is
considered a comprehensive umbrella for the Islamic Ummah.
He concluded his remarks by saying, "Our dignity and honor come from you," expressing his thanks and gratitude to His Eminence for making this meeting possible.
