The camp of the office of His Eminence the Religious
Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) has concluded
its services, which began with the Arba'een pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (PBUH)
and continued until the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Great Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny). Over 21 consecutive days, the
camp provided diverse services to
visitors, affirming the role of the Religious Authorities in sponsoring
religious rituals. Service Numbers: The camp official, Ahmed Jabbar Al-Shawk, clarified that
over 810,000 cups of water were distributed during this period, while daily
lunch meals ranged between 2,500 and 4,000, and dinner between 4,000 and 6,000
meals. Additionally, around 3,000 breakfast meals were distributed on the days
of the Prophet's martyrdom. He added that ice preparation reached an average of
200 blocks daily, with a total of 4,200 ice blocks between the 7th and 28th of
Safar. Continuous Service from Arba'een to the Prophet's
Tragedy: Al-Shawk confirmed that the camp continued its service from Arba'een until the
Prophet's martyrdom, explaining that the mourning period begins with the
Arba'een anniversary and concludes with the passing of the Prophet, expressing
a unity of loyalty and commemoration. Rest and Lodging In addition to food and drink, the camp provided places
for visitors to rest and stay overnight, hosting delegations from various
provinces and countries, allowing them the opportunity to rest before
continuing their journey. Voluntary Work and Community Support: The workers emphasized that the service relied on
hundreds of volunteers for cooking, distribution, and organization tasks, with
broad support from the local community and benefactors. Million-Visitor Service: Citizens appreciated these efforts, noting that the
camp participates annually in serving millions of visitors to Karbala, Najaf,
and the holy shrines, which requires increasing efforts every year. Conclusion:
