BASRA — Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi, representative and head of the central office of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Basheer Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) in Najaf, joined faithful crowds for the sacred Arbaeen pilgrimage, setting off from Fao, Iraq’s southernmost city.

During his walk, Sheikh Al-Najafi met with tribal leaders, organizers of Husseini procession services (Mawakeb), and pilgrims marching toward Karbala. He conveyed the greetings and prayers of Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi, wishing them success and divine acceptance of their deeds.

During these meetings, Sheikh Al-Najafi emphasized that the Arbaeen pilgrimage is a blessed rite that uplifts and highlights the strength of authentic Muhammadan Islam, while fostering unity, mutual understanding, and a shared religious and national identity among believers.
