NAJAF AL-ASHRAF — His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussain Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) received a high-level Iranian delegation today at his central office in Najaf. The delegation, led by the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Vice President of the Assembly of Experts, delivered an official message from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei.

The message expressed deep gratitude from Iran’s leadership to Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi and the Najaf Religious Authority  for their unwavering support of the Iranian people during recent geopolitical events and national crises.

During the audience, the Iranian representatives conveyed appreciation for the Religious Authority’s backing during the mourning period and funeral procession for the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Khamenei held in Iraq, highlighting the widespread solidarity shown across Iraqi tribes, ethnicities, and sects.

In response, Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi renewed his condolences to the Muslim world on the passing of the late leader. He commended the Iraqi public and tribal leaders for their principled religious and humanitarian response throughout the funeral ceremonies.

The meeting concluded with prayers from His Eminence for unity, safety, and protection across the region.
