His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) welcomed the governor of Wasit, Dr. Muhammad Jamil Al-Mayahi and his accompanying delegation of local government officials in the province to offer congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr and to listen to the fatherly directives and advice of His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life).

His Eminence stated that the official should follow the example of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), who ran a vast country with justice and equality among all segments of society and thinking of the poor to secure a decent life for them.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) stressed the necessity of following up all the work in the departments and services provided to citizens and fulfilling the duties assigned to officials and employees towards society.

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) added that Iraq is a homeland that deserves all efforts in defending it and ensuring its stability. Because it is a homeland that God Almighty has endowed with bounties and made for it a distinguished position. It is the capital of the state of the Commander of the Faithful 1400 years ago, and the capital of the state of his grandson, the awaited Imam (peace be upon them) at the end of time.
